GST Information

As a division of Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation, FLEET is GST exempt. Our GST registration number is R107863847. We are responsible for paying PST.

Repair Authorization

Vendors must call FLEET for authorization PRIOR to any service work.

• From outside Winnipeg, call 1-800-363-6693, otherwise
• Call (204) 945-5288 to report the work required.

When calling, please have the following information ready:

• Your vendor name and number,
• The vehicle's FLEET unit number,
• Odometer reading,
• Estimated price of repairs, and
• Your invoice number.

FLEET's Service Office representative will give you a repair authorization number.

Invoicing Procedures

When invoicing FLEET, include the information above, plus:

• License number,
• Driver signature,
• FLEET's repair authorization number, and
• Show Parts and Labour separately, with each part itemized.

Send all original invoices (not including fuel) to Fleet Vehicles Agency for payment. Drivers do not need invoices: you can provide a copy, if requested.

In order for FLEET to effectively manage invoice payment, we ask vendors to send us their invoices as soon as possible. We make every effort to pay invoices within 30 days of receipt.

FLEET Fuel Card

FLEET drivers have a FLEET Fuel Card for fuel purchases. Providing the total cost is under $25.00, drivers may purchase other items with the FLEET Fuel Card:

• Interior and/or exterior cleaning,
• Repair or rotation of tires,
• Replacement of bulbs, wiper blades and frost shields, and
• Topping up of vehicle fluids.

If the cost is more than $25, or you are doing an oil change, that work is NOT to be charged to the FLEET Fuel Card. You need a repair authorization number.

FLEET Parts

FLEET has its own parts department, with inventory of the most often used parts, equipment and tires. We may request that you use FLEET - supplied parts for certain repairs. We will tell you if we want to supply parts when you call for your repair authorization.
